NLP & The Meaning Of Life

This the last subject I thought I would be making a video on and writing a blog about.
Why are we here? What is life about? What is the purpose and meaning of life?
Someone asked me these questions in a comment on a recent video I had made.
My first thought was to just tell him that NLP doesn't address this. NLP is not a philosophy nor is it a religion.
When we use NLP we use it to get what we want and create the life that we want, not to contemplate existential questions.
NLP is more of a 'How to' than a 'Why'.
This doesn't mean, however, that I don't have my own opinions about why we're here and what is the meaning of life.
And there is a NLP connection here. More on that in a moment.
First of all, you're never going to know the meaning and purpose of life as some objective truth that exists outside of your existence.
I don't care what philosophy, ideology, religion, or guru claims to know the answer to this, they don't because all of these are created by people and people are contained within their own experiences.
Does meaning and purpose exist outside of the meaning and purpose we give our lives and experiences? Maybe, but you'll never know it because you can only know what's within your awareness.
What's the solution?
Let it go.
Let go of these questions about the meaning of life especially if it troubles you, stresses you out, or takes up your focus and mental bandwidth.
I will take it one step further. Even if you knew the answer, it wouldn't make you any happier. I'm quite sure of that, because answers to questions are not the key to living a fulfilling life.
Here's where NLP comes in.
What you have been given is magical and miraculous, so much so in fact that most people overlook it. It's sitting in plain sight and it's yours.
What you are is a creator. It's as if the universe said to humankind "You cannot even grasp the meaning and purpose of life. Therefore we are making every one of you creators of your own experiences and of your own realities."
This is the part that gives me chills. This is why I study and teach NLP. This is why I coach people and show people how they've been creating their realities since they were born.
The structure and creation of your reality has been mostly unconscious.
When you learn NLP you learn how to bring that into conscious awareness. When you do that you can change it.
Now you have choice.
Instead of your programs being unconscious, which means they run you. You can become conscious of them and change them so that you now run the programs instead of the programs running you
This is what NLP is all about and it is extraordinary. It's also accessible to anyone.
We tend to think that we will gain some sort of fulfillment through having answers to our questions.
Why?
Because confusion and not knowing something is uncomfortable and we will do just about anything to move away from confusion including creating religions and erecting temples.
Instead, you can explore and learn to consciously create your own reality. You can be both scientist and artist with your own life creating grounded meaning and purpose in everything you do.
This is a much more fulfilling pursuit than wrestling over questions you'll never know the answers to.
Learn about you and you will learn about the world around you. Learn about the world around you and you will discover yourself.
