Passive Aggressive Behavior: You're NOT CRAZY

Ever been the target of passive aggressive behavior like someone ignoring you, backhanded compliments, and even gaslighting? Of course you have.
We all have and we've all taken our turns at being passive aggressive.
It's usually a behavior we pick up in childhood when we feel powerless against people who are in positions of authority.
We should outgrow it by the time we become adults but so many of us don't.
It's not always easy to spot passive aggressive behavior because it's passive and meant to fly below your radar.
What if you could detect it right away? What if you could be immune to it?
That's what I go into in this video.
The key points are:
1) Detect passive aggressive behavior right away.
The easiest way to do this is to notice if you feel bad for no reason like a feeling that you've done something wrong especially when you're in the presence of someone who you think might be acting passive aggressive with you.
2) Recognize the frame that the passive aggressor is imposing on you.
When you're aware of the behavior, now recognize the frame they're imposing. The frame will likely be something like you've don't something wrong or bad but the passive aggressor is taking the high road and is willing to tolerate you and perhaps even forgive your offense.
If you're not conscious of the frame they're imposing it's easy to fall into it and find yourself on the defensive and digging yourself deeper and deeper into a hole.
Once you're conscious of the frame though and you reject it, the passive aggressor is stuck, but you're not done yet.
3) Go 2nd Position with them and find their positive intent.
This is really counter intuitive, but it works incredibly well. I explain it in the video.
Also elicit your positive intent. What do you want out of the situation? Instead of being blinded by emotions like guilt, shame, or anger, ground yourself with your positive intent and work toward a solution that will fulfill that intent.
Let me know how this works for you.
That's all for now.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there.
