Defensiveness In Communication, How To Identify It & Change It
Apr 17, 2019
You've been hearing me talk about a big announcement coming up for some time now. Well, that time has come.
This Saturday I will announce what I'm up to and why you're going to love it! I'm really excited. It's something I've never done before.
You'll receive an email about it or you can watch me explain it live on my Youtube channel this Saturday at 8 a.m. during the Win Or Learn live broadcast I do every Saturday morning.
You definitely want in on this!
I'm back in Santa Cruz, California, my home, after traveling in Eastern Europe for about two weeks.
The video was shot in Budapest, Hungary. Quite an amazing city.
This topic was inspired by an incident with a customs officer while going through customs in Zurich, Switzerland.
I witnessed a bully doing what bullies do. As an observer of human behavior and a practitioner of how to change it in myself and influence it in others, I decided to break it down for you.
Basically, you might be exhibiting defensive behavior without even realizing it and when you do it invites aggression from others.
Here's what you need to know:
1. Defensiveness invites aggression
2. Respond rather than react
3. Preframe situations ahead of time
I go into much detail in the video about what each of these means and how to do them.
You'll never get caught on the defensive if you follow these steps.

P.S.! Important announcement coming up Saturday. You won't believe it. I can't even believe I'm going to do this.
