Which Is Better NLP or Hypnosis?

Have you ever wondered which is better, NLP or Hypnosis?
People don't usually ask me this question so directly. They often ask me though which one do I use more, which seems like an indirect way of asking which is better.
Asking this question is sort of like asking what is the best musical instrument?
Every instrument has its place in the orchestra. More importantly, it's the musician playing the instrument that determines the quality of sound for the most part.
I use NLP more than I use hypnosis but like most things, it's really a matter of personal preference.
I like to bring the unconscious into consciousness. When I'm coaching clients I want to be precise about what it is they want and helping them get it and in a way that they will know it consciously.
If you're into meditation, vision quests, and shamanistic rituals and mysticism, hypnosis is probably better suited for you.
But you're never going to know until you try both.
I really enjoy hypnosis and I'm pretty good at it, but I never use it in coaching and I only sometimes use it on myself.
However, learning hypnosis taught me so much about NLP and improved my NLP understandings and skills. So if you prefer NLP and you haven't taken any hypnosis courses, I highly recommend that you do.
If you've only taken hypnosis courses, give NLP a try. It will help you focus more consciously and understand in real time what you value so you can make good, conscious decisions in the moment.
If you think of personal development and transformation as music, remember that it takes many instruments to comprise a symphony. It never hurt any musician to learn multiple instruments in other words, and it won't hurt you to learn both NLP and hypnosis, quite the opposite.
When it comes to NLP and hypnosis (and nearly everything in life) ask yourself, which is more useful to you, rather than which is better?
Sometimes for certain situations NLP will be more useful and sometimes hypnosis will be more useful. Also certain people will take to one better than the other.
Play to your strengths.
