Your Nature Vs Self Improvement Nurture

This video was inspired by a documentary I saw that made a compelling argument for how nature dictates so much of your life.
By the end of it though, a sudden revelation appears about the power of nurture over nature.
In this video I explore the two and I explore why it's important to understand your nature, the good and the bad, and how to use nurture to overcome the bad.
Bad? Nature?
I know there are some people who think nature is all good and perhaps even sacred.
I don't agree.
Well actually nature is neutral. It's not good or bad. It just is.
However, there are parts of your nature that are not serving you.
I've been open and honest about suffering from depression multiple times in my past and how I still suffer. And yet I can honestly say I'm happy and I continue to feel more and more happy and fulfilled with my life as time passes.
Through the work I've done on myself and having practices like yoga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and NLP I've never had to use medicine to treat my symptoms.
Looking at my family history and even issues my son is dealing with, I'm convinced that it is quite natural for me to be depressed, overweight, and to be physically weak.
But we're not stuck with our nature. We can transform it with nurture.
I believe this from not just the work I've done with myself but also from helping many others overcome their internal obstacles and achieve far more than they ever thought was possible.
Watch the video and let me know what your opinion is about nature vs. nurture. Which is more powerful? And are we simply stuck with what life hands us or can we do something about it?
